OBM drill cuttings discharges : assessment criteria
This report provides background information on oil based drilling muds (OBM) emissions and the effects of mineral oil pollution of the seabed. It also discusses relevant parameters which can be used to assess the pollution of the seabed in the Netherlands Continental Shelf (NCS) area by residues from past discharges of OBM cuttings. Criteria for the acceptability of actual and potential risk levels are discussed in relation to each individual parameter.
