Cone penetration testing in clay : numerical model and laboratory tests
Presents results of the second phase of a study towards the interpretation of cone penetration testing (CPT) in soft clayey soils. This phase is the Eulerean large-strain finite element model (DIEKA; Huetink, 1986) further elaborated and special zero-thickness elements are added between the cone and the soil to account for the frictional interface behaviour.
