Flora of the Volga Delta : a check list of the vascular plants of the Volga Delta, Russia

Based on a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between the Russian Federation of Science and the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, Dutch and Russian institutes signed a co-operation program in November 1995. In the more detailed yearplan for 1996 one of the working activities planned was the preparation and publishing of a list of all plant species occurring in the Volga Delta. This list is not only meant for botanists, but also for other people who deal in some way or another with the natural resources of the Volga Delta. Specialists of disciplines like ecohydrology, nature conservation, zoology, soil science and of course vegetation ecologists have to communicate often about the botanical environment.
