Ballast water : overview of available data and estimation of possible risks

In this study the origin and amounts of discharged and loaded ballast water are examined. Furthermore an overview is given of introduced species in the Dutch coastal waters and the possible consequences of these introductions. The combined information resulted in a risk assessment on the ballast water issue.
