Analysis of vulnerability to the impacts of sea level rise : a case study for the Netherlands
The Netherlands case study aimed to provide a contribution to the development of the common methodology for the execution of Vulnerability Analysis (VA) case studies, an automated procedure for the generation and presentation of vulnerability profiles, and an assessment of the Netherlands' vulnerability to sea level rise for different scenarios and response strategies. For this study a computer model was developed , which describes the main physical mechanisms and their socio-economic and ecological impacts, as well as the costs and effects of selective response strategies.
