Measurements in the nearshore zone at Egmond the Netherlands : Report on investigation

In the framework of the TOW Study Programme for Coastal Sediment Transport measurements in the nearshore zone at Egmond, The Netherlands, were carried out in 1981 and 1982/1983. The main objectives were to gain experience in the planning and execution of extensive measurements in and outside the surfzone, the testing of the performance of various selected instruments and the collection of data for the study of the coastal processes. Temporary measuring stations were constructed in the surfzone and computer facilities were installed at the site for the acquisition and analysis of the measurements.
