Results of mesocosm experiments and model development in 1993 are reported. They aim an analysis of: The effect of reduced phosphorus loads and changed nutrient ratios, on phytoplankton production, species composition and succession, with special notice to Phaeocystis dynamics. The effects of reduced P loads on the growth of mussels The effects of mussel biomass on phytoplankton biomass, production and composition, and nutrient availability The development of model concepts by using mesocosm results.
