Methods of measuring sediment transport in the river Rhine : Dutch-Hungarian seminar of River Management
A number of methods that have been developed for measuring the sand transport are discussed as well as their accuracy based on the results of various field trials carried out along the Rhine. Since the ratio of the bed load to the suspended load vaires with dischargerate, it was necessary to measure both modes in order to determine the total transport of sand.
