Transport atlas of the Southern North Sea
Provides elementary information on the average circulation in the Southern North Sea and the spreading (dispersion) of water and substances (contaminants) entering through river inflows and across the northern and southern boundaries of the ecosystem. A series of maps shows the calculated distributions of various water types that would result from steady inflow from separate rivers and wind forcing conditions. Estimates of the so-called age distributions are depicted in each of the maps. A display programme on floppy disk enables the user to simulate own discharge scenarios.
