This Global Vulnerability Assessment (GVA) study has the following objectives: evaluation of improved methodology to quanititatively assess vulnerability; application of improved methodology at a global scale, to assess vulnerable coastal areas and population at risk; approvement of the improved methodology at local scale to check the method for the assessment of economic risk (rice production) or ecological risks (wetlands)
