On the calibration of tidal flow simulation models
Mathematical models for the simulation of tidal flow are used widely nowadays to study the impact of proposed engineering projects in rivers, estuaries and coastal seas. The many possibilities of model calibration which are available are considered critically. Results of several applications are given to illustrate these considerations.
