Noise innovation program [IPG] - road traffic : [final report 2.0]

According to the NMP4 document from the Ministry of Environmental Affaires and the NVVP 2001-2020 document from the Ministry of Public Works and Water Management strategic goals has been defined for the quality of the environment of our main road system in the next decades. The goals for 2030 are expressed in qualitative terms, whereas the goals for 2010 are formulated in quantitative terms. The goal for 2030 is that the acoustic quality is?good? everywhere. In order to achieve this goal, the following noise abatement objectives have been formulated: in 2010, the limit value of 70dB(A) in houses may no longer be exceeded;, the acoustic quality in urban and rural areas will be realized in2030. In 2010, the acoustic quality in urban areas must be substantially improved by modifications of the national infrastructure; the acoustic quality in the national ecological network will be realized in 2030. The ambition is that the acoustic quality may not be worse than that in 2000 (stand-still).
