ERS-1 SAR survey Plaatgat
The purpose of this project is to assess the applicability and the accuracy of the BAS (Bathymetry Assessment System) by using ERS-1 SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images for the operational production of depth maps in tidal inlets. Investigated was how the distance between ship's soundings tracks affects the accuracy of the depth estimates produced by BAS.
