Design report of three NOURTEC test sites : innovative nourishment techniques evaluation#NOURTEC
This report describes the engineering design of the three nourishment projects that are part of the Nourtec study. The Danish project is located on the Danish west coast near the town of Thorsminde. The German project covers the northwest coast of the island of Norderney. The Dutch nourishment is at the coast of the island of Terschelling. The coast at each of the project locations is subject to rather severe erosion. To combat the erosion, beach nourishment, shoreface nourishment or a combination thereof is applied.
