Velocity field and wave directions in the surf zone
Within the framework of the Coastal Research Programme, a number of instruments selected to monitor the surf zone phenomena were tested in the field. In 1981, measurements were made of surface elevations and internal wave kinematics on the Dutch coast. Measurements were made near high tide at five different days. Surface elevations were measured using resistance wave gauges.
