Impact of sea level rise on society : a case study for the Netherlands
The aim of the case study is further development and application of a during the August '86 ISOS workshop developed analytical approach to evaluate the, often complex and interrelated, effects of sea level rise on natural resources and socio-economic systems in a systematic and consistent way. After a description of the "ISOS system diagram" a nummer of study tasks for the following subsystems are identified : seas, coastal seas and estuaries, coastal zone, lower rivers, upper rivers and (low)land and water systems. An overall workplan is included.
