Radar image simulation and information extraction
Final report of the project "Radar image simulation and information extraction" (R-SIE). The irregular nature of most objects that are encountered in remote sensing of the earth leads to radar scattering. The R-SIE project concentrated on the development of an experimental verification of a scatterer model based on point targets to provide data input for the image simulation. In chapter 2 coupled scatterer expressions are derived for a target surface represented by point targets. It is a simplified approach in solving radar surface scattering problems. The testing and comparision of different segmentation procedures on simulated images are being discussed.
