Slide rule for floaters

By certain processes the quantity of the oil to combat is reduced while other processes make this quantify increase; this is usually called mass-balance. On the slide rule the most important processes for estimating the mass-balance are given, namely: evaporation; dispersion and water-in-oil emulsification. In this report these processes are discussed and the application of the slide rule and the restrictions are given.
