Numerical model for cone penetration testing (CPT) in clay
First evidence is given for a number of empirical and theoretical models for the undrained clay problem. Then results of finite element computations with small strains are reviewed. Finally the theory for large-strain problems is presented, together with the results of a large-strain analysis. Computational results are presented both for a soft and a stiff clay.
