Morphodynamics of the Delta coast (south-west Netherlands) : quantitative analysis and phenomenology of the morphological evolution 1964-2004

The sediment budget of the Delta coast, from the Belgian-Dutch boundary to the Euro-Maas navigation channel, is reanalysed. An important aspect of the estimate of the development of the sediment volumes of the (former) ebb-tidal deltas was the determination of the sediment volumes that are introduced by data problems. Furthermore the morphological changes that have persisted over a major part of the 1964 to 2004 time period have been mapped.
