Slibmodellering kwaliteitsaspecten : Resultaten 2009

This report presents the results of the activities in the framework of the project ‘VOP-slib’ in 2009. VOP slib research in 2009 focused on the buffering of fines in a mud bed for modeling suspended sediment dynamics in the North Sea, and on development of a mud model for the Wadden Sea. The North Sea suspended sediment model has been improved with a new type of buffer model, and calibrated with improved assessment techniques. The Wadden Sea model setup consists of an inventory and review of literature and data, and a first model application. In order to relate research carried out within VOP slib to management questions faced by the relevant directorates of the Ministry of Public Works, relevant persons within these directorates have been consulted to determine their research demands and knowledge gaps.
