Basic level of maintenance of the network of main roads in the Netherlands

The main question in this report is why certain preservation activities (basic maintenance) have to be performed. So, it is not a matter of administrative analysis of the flows of money, but of providing an insight into the why and how of maintenance measures. In addition, an indication is also given which funds are necessary to keep up the infrastructure at the level of the standards and guidelines for preservation now in force, and based on the present areas.
