The microscopic traffic simulation model MIXIC 1.1
MIXIC 1.0 (MICroscopic model for Simulation of Intelligent Cruise control) enables the assessment of an application such as Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) on a motorway section at a link level with respect to traffic performance. This model is further developed into MIXIC 1.1, which is equiped with a method for measuring shockwaves. Following a description of the overall structure of the MIXIC 1.1 model, the driver and vehicle models and a model for autonomous intelligent cruise control (AICC) are specified. Finally, the implementation and calibration of MIXIC 1.1 are given and current status and future developments presented.
