Room for the river Rhine in the Netherlands : summary of research results

In the research that has been conducted for the completed studies, Room for the Rhine Branches (RfR), Integrated Exploration of the lower Rivers Region (IVB) and Water Management in the lake IJssel region (WIN), insight was gained into the possibilities and impossibilities of dealing with larger river discharges combined with a higher sea level. The research results have been summarised and compiled in a report on the Rhine Branches and background reports in the Recommendation Integrated Exploration of the lower Rivers Region (IVB). This report contains relevant passages from these reports, but also describes the most recent findings.
