Dutch research on eutrophication in the North Sea
In order to judge the effects of increased nutrient input on the essential life and community structure in the North Sea, and to take the correct measures, a broad Dutch research programme on eutrophication in the North Sea and Waddensea is initiated. The research deals with chemical, physical and biological parameters, and the various trophic levels of the food chain.
