A morpho-dynamic model for a tidal inlet : 'Het Friesch Zeegat'
A model is set up in order to investigate the morphological processes in the tidal inlets in the Wadden Sea. The study is carried out with the DELMOR model, which a brief description is given. The main purpose of the study is to obtain a better understanding of the morphological systems in the inlets. Therefore the model will work with a schematised geometry and bathemetry. The Wadden Sea consists of a number of tidal bays, each of different size and shape. One of these inlet is 'Het Friesche Zeegat', which is taken as reference for defining the model. The schematized model inlet in the model will roughly be the same as this particular inlet concerning the size, shape and bathymetry.
