Aerodynamic measurements in the Wijkertunnel
Pressure and velocity measurements have been carried out in the new Wijkertunnel, in order to check the performances of the longitudinal ventilation system and several input quantities of the ventilation design calculation method. In addition, comparisons have been made of the results of the present site measurements with results of earlier wind tunnel measurements on a 1:200 model of the Wijkertunnel. Important conclusions have been drawn from this comparison and recommendations have been formulated for aerodynamic measurements in tunnels, especially in windy conditions.
