Review of Japanese noise barrier research

Provides an overview into research/measurement programmes carried out in Japan for a wide range of novel barrier caps, particularly those with a cylinder or rounded profile. Particular emphasis is given to the locations of the source and receiver positions and the heights of the barriers in the individual studies, since manufacturers commonly claim very high levels of screening for these types of barriers.
