Digital bathymetry of the Northwest European shelf : needs and benefits : note prepared on request of the EuroGOOS-Netherlands group

Argues that the major agencies responsible for marine policy making and marine forecasting, together with the Hydrographic Offices responsible for soundings and the EuroGOOS office, jointly take the initiative for the creation of a well defined, high accuracy digital bathymetry of the Northwest European Shelf area of suitable detail, which can serve as a benchmark data set for the international modelling community.
