The microscopic traffic simulation model MIXIC 1.0
A first prototype of a microscopic traffic simulation model has been specified and developed. This prototype version MIXIC 1.0 (MICroscopic model for Simulation of Intelligent Cruise control) enables the assessment of an application such as Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) on a motorway section at a link level with respect to traffic performance. Following a description of the overall structure of the MIXIC 1.0 model, the driver and vehicle models are specified and an appropriate ICC application is selected. Finally, the implementation and current status of MIXIC 1.0 are given and future developments presented.
