Natural and human impacts on sedimentation in the Wadden Sea : an analysis of historical data

This report aims to identify the origin of past changes in the Wadden Sea, based on historical data. Special attention is given to changes which may have resulted from interventions along the Dutch coast, such as the Deltaworks and the first seaward extension of Rotterdam harbour (Maasvlakte I). The major interventions in the Dutch coastal zone with a possible impact on the Wadden Sea during the past 50 years are shortly described in the appendix.
