Summary report of Dutch investigations on the effects of sand and shell extraction in the Wadden Sea
The effects of sand and shell extraction on hydrography and morphology, sediment transport, turbidity, nutrients, oxygen and trace metals, on suspended matter concentrations in organisms and the disturbance of birds and seals have been examined. A brief summary is given.
