24-hour society and passenger travel : final report
While the term "24 Hour Society" recurringly appears the dimensions and meaningfulness of the concept have gone unexamined. This report addresses this meaning element and explores the myth and reality of an emerging 24-Hour Society as it relates to passenger travel. The report addresses economic, social, infrastructural and juridical aspects of the move toward the 24-Hour Society and anticipated acceptance of impending changes. The focus is on daily travel behaviour in The Netherlands and its potential impact on the major actors and the emerging consequences for the Ministry of Transport in The Netherlands.
