Characterization of the geotechnical properties of rock material for construction purposes
Describes research into the characterization of rock for aggregate production quality. Presents a concise introduction into the statistical backgrounds that are needed for a correct application of geostatistical methods. A case study gives an example of how the proposed methodology can be applied in practice and how to minimize the required number of field measurements. Although the research is aimed at rock materials for aggregate properties, it is also applicable with regard to other fields, such as ground engineering and environmental engineering.
