Response classification hazardous material spills in the aquatic environment
The classifications usable in the field of response to hazardous material spills in the aquatic environment are: classification by transport; classification by physical hazard; classification as marine pollutant; classification by reactions. This report classifies different hazardous materials into groups which will behave in a similar way after spillage in the aquatic environment and will therefore require simular response methods. It also discusses the separate classifications and deals with the interactions and use of the different classifications.
