Deformation of a river dyke on soft soil
The stability and deformation behaviour of river dykes situated on soft soils were investigated on the basis of the behaviour and characteristics of a real dyke section. The main objective of the study was the description of the factors controlling the deformation and to relegate them in a conceptual deformation model. A secondary objective was the assessment of this model by comparison with results of stability and deformation calculations.
