Sonar work station : two acoustic current profilers
Two acoustic current velocity profilers based on the principle of Doppler shift are compared. The goal of this experiment is to test the applicability of these profilers in shallow waters. The comparison deals with a RD profiler and a profiler under development (SWS) as a result of the Rijkswaterstaat underwater acoustic research program. This test also gave insight in the performance of the commercially available RD Instruments profiler.
