Oil rates in Common Guillemots : Guillemot-oil-EcoQO : proportion of oiled Common Guillemots among those found dead or dying on beaches

This report reviews the existing data and the possibilities for a monitoring programme for the entire North Sea area, using oil rates on an indicator species, the Common Guillemot Uria aalge. Information is supplied on the background and planning for a European study, that includes investigations into the sources of pollution (mineral oil and other substances).
