High and low resolution satellite images to monitor agricultural land
The purpose of this report is to present more in detail one important aspect of the MARS (Monitoring agro-ecological Resources with Remote sensing and Simulation in Zambia) project which consists of the evaluation of feasible methods to improve the real time information on the agricultural production. Combination of remote sensing information, i.e. high and low spatial resolution images, with geographical information system and the implementation of numerical simulation model based on crop growth WOFOST, are used to develop such methods.
