Discusses the Dutch policy towards road safety. Presents objectives and approach in the National Transport Plan (NVVP), the co-operation of all parties involved in transport safety policy, the integrated approach to road safety (including aspects like road infrastructure, technology to influence driver behaviour, and mode choice), the ways the national government stimulates road safety and co-operates in Europe.
