The Dutch Continental Shelf Model : DCSM96: calibration with the adjoint system of WAQUA
The Dutch Continental Shelf Model (DCSM) is developed by The National institute of Coastal and Marine Management/RIKZ for waterlevel predictions and storm surge forecasts. The modelled area of the DCSM contains the North West European Shelf, including the British Isles. In this model the shallow water equations with water quality and meteorological influences are described. The model is suitable for large scale transport calculations and generating boundary conditions for nested models.
