User manual malibration instrument SWAN : release 1.03.00

This document contains a concise User Manual of the Calibration Instrument (C-I), Release 1.03.00. Software and User Manual are intended for the experienced SWAN user who wants to calibrate SWAN model parameters by comparing SWAN results of a SWAN case against observational data. The manual describes the steps that a user needs to take in order to perform such a calibration. The manual provides the user with the necessary information for setting up, executing and interpreting a calibration; for the details of the calibration techniques as such; we refer to WL (2006) and WL (2007a). The User Manual does not provide extensive technical information on the software aspects either; we refer to WL (2007b,c,d) for more extensive treatment of the design of the software, and more technical reference information. For detailed information on the SWAN model we refer to the SWAN manual (DUT, 2008).
