Learning from each other to improve passenger transport : final report : memorandum of understanding Czech Republic - Netherlands 1st JointStudy
On 31 May 2000, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Czech Republic and the Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management of the Netherlands signed a Memororandum of Understanding (MoU) on a Programma for bilateral co-operation between the Ministery of Transport of the Czech Republic and the Ministery of Transport and Water Management in the field of transport. In the annex of this MoU it was proposed to launch the work programme within the framework of the MoU with a general joint study focusing on passenger transport in the two countries. The present report is the main part of the Final Report. This main report is accompanied by five detailed annexes. The joint study?s main purpose is to propose solutions to problems experienced in the passenger transport sector. Within this task, there are two main objectives: -survey the current situations and implemented passenger transport policy measures in both countries; and -lay the ground for further, more specific studies within the MoU framework, by identifying key areas where future co-operation would be beneficial to both partners.
