Immunity : deliverable D1, workpackage 1 : state of the art

In 1997 a consortium consisiting of five research organisations (AVV, BCI, EBD, ANAST and VNF) developed a project proposal named IMMUNITY, which aims at solving the problems of the growing use of inland waterways. The results of this study could give significant contribution to the introduction of new environmental friendly vessel building concepts and transhipment technologies; the improvement of competitiveness of European Waterborne Transport, in general; the knowledge basis for policy making decisions for the establishment of a sustainable Trans-European Network. This report gives the state of the art for the period 1-1-1998 to 1-5-1998.
