Rivers : flow resistance and bedform dimensions for varying flow conditions results of flume experiments width 1.50m and 1.125m : report on investigations

An applied research programme on sediment transport and resistance to flow in rivers. The investigations have comprised a number of tests carried out under varying hydraulic conditions in a flume with a movable sand bed. The results of the flume tests will be compared with the results obtained using exesting theory and computational methods. The present report deals with the results of the first of four series of tests, some general information about the tests, a brief description of the sand flume, a specification of the tests conditions and the main results.
