Infrastructure and nature : fragmentation and defragmentation Dutch state of art report for COST activity 341

This report provides an overview of what is currently known about the consequences of infrastructure transecting natural environments and landscape an what has so far been done to combat fragmentation. It is the Netherlands?contribution to the European overview on fragmenttion caused by transport infrastructure, and was produced at the request of the European Commission within the scope of COST (Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical research). This contribution from the Netherlands provides a survey of fragmentation and defragmentation at national, provincial and municipal levels.
