Analysis of SWAN : SWAN correction factors, based on hindcast Petten en Petten wave flume experiments : Phase 3

The SWAN 40.41 model was used to hindcast 17 storm events at Petten using a curvi-linear grid for the Dutch coast. In addition, 20 SWAN 40.41 computations were made for the Petten wave flume experiments. The numerical and physical settings were chosen in accordance to those that are used in the SWAN computations along the Dutch coast in the framework of the computation of the Hydraulic Boundary conditions (HBC 2006). The results of the computations were statistically analysed to determine correction factors for the significant wave height Hm0 and mean wave period Tm-1,0.
