AVV dynamic assignment : results for scenario runs
The objectives of the project AIUTO Dynamic Assignment are: 1) to test whether conclusions that have been drawn on the future development of congestion and the effectiveness of policy measures depend on the assumptions within the National Model System (NMS = Landelijk Model Systeem LMS) regarding assignment technique ; 2) to investigate inhowfar these conclusions change under varying assignment assumptions. This is achieved through a theoretical and practical comparison of assignments with two dynamic assignment techniques (3DAS and CONTRAM), compared with a standard application of the current assignment model within the NMS: QBLOK. In this report the three validated models are compared in application. Two scenarios have been tested: a 2000 reference case and a 2000 SWAB (Samen Werken Aan Bereikbaarheid) scenario, in which more stringent demand management measures are implemented.
