A model of the probability distribution of bivariate storm extremes implemented to compute simple risk estimates
In the present study, this model of the distribution of multivariate storm extremes has been extended with tools for evaluating frequencies of failure of coastal structures of a restricted class and for computing probability densities and conditional probability densities . These apply to the bivariate case. At this stage, the tools can be used to gain insight into the sensitivities of frequencies of failure of coastal structures to the correlation between wave, wind and sea level parameters.
