Improving and testing a land use methodology for LCA : including case-studies on bricks, concrete and wood

This report describes the third and the last phase of a research project into an operational method to include the theme 'degradation of ecosystems and landscape'in environmental life cycle assessment (LCA). The method at hand has been described before in 'biodiversity and life support indicators for land use impacts in LCA "(W-DWW-98-059, 1998). Two interventions are destinguished: changing the land use type (m2) and occupying (m2) year. For both interventions two indicators are selected: and indicator for the influence on the life support system and an indicator for the influence on biodiversity. This results in 4 indicators.
